The German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) has commissioned the construction of a 32,000 square metre office building in the town of Eschborn near Frankfurt. The new building will offer space for around 1,000 workstations over six floors. WITTE is responsible for the overall and BIM management of the project, which is being developed by PHOENIX Real Development. Integrating BIM has been a top priority right from the start, as the building’s future users wanted to fully consolidate all information during the project’s implementation in order to get the very most out of it during the subsequent operating phase. The embedded LEAN design process is helping to identify all the required steps and assign tasks in a precise manner as well as incorporating them in the schedule.
